Cafe, bakery, and tea stall POS in Bangladesh should be a phone or tablet till, a receipt printer, and software that still bills when the internet drops. You do not need a 20-table restaurant map on day one. Riser POS is Dimdul’s restaurant POS and lists cafes, bakeries, and tea stalls as intended users.
Quick answer: POS for cafes, bakeries, and tea stalls in Bangladesh should run on a phone, print a receipt, and bill offline during load-shedding. Riser POS lists those outlets as intended users at ৳2,000/month plus ৳5,000 install. Skip mall-scale table maps until you need them.

What POS fits cafes, bakeries, and tea stalls in Bangladesh?
Riser POS fits small counters and seated cafes when you want a published ৳2,000/month fee, offline billing, optional KDS and QR menu, and Dimdul to install from Dhaka. 3S Softech publishes a dedicated cafe POS page with Mushak and bKash/Nagad on their site — use that shortlist when compliance rows matter. ChillyPOS lists ৳1,000/month basic and ৳2,000/month standard per branch on their homepage if you are comparing published AI tiers.
What small food counters actually need
A tea stall in Mohammadpur and a 40-seat Banani cafe are both “F&B,” but the till jobs differ.
Tea stall / sweet shop / bakery counter
- Fast repeat items (tea, biscuit, bread)
- One cashier, often the owner
- Cash-heavy, occasional MFS QR on a sticker
- Peak in short waves
Cafe with seats
- Table bills, maybe split
- Espresso modifiers
- A small kitchen or barista bar that needs tickets
- Guests who will scan a QR menu
Both still need offline billing. Neither needs a hotel PMS.

Why Riser POS (restaurant) not Retail
Dimdul sells two POS lines. Riser POS is food: orders, tables, KDS, QR menu. Riser POS Retail is shops: grocery, clothing, mobile. A bakery that sells loaves plus tea is still food. Put it on restaurant Riser POS. A bakery that is mostly packaged biscuits in racks, no kitchen tickets, can ask Dimdul which line fits. Do not guess from the homepage cards.
Price that matches a stall
Riser POS: ৳2,000 per month + ৳5,000 installation (August 2026), including domain, hosting, and training. Full price.
For a stall doing ৳15,000 a day, that fee is visible but smaller than one week of unrecorded complimentary teas. For a stall doing ৳4,000 a day, stay on paper until the drawer and the notebook disagree.
Hardware can be a used phone and a 58mm Bluetooth printer. Hardware list.
Bakery-specific notes
- Use item names staff already shout (“pauruti,” “sweet toast”), not English SKU codes.
- Count high-waste items daily (cream cakes). Leave cumin seeds until you have a habit.
- Morning production is not a restaurant “prep ticket” unless you have a cook line. Do not overbuild KDS.
Cafe-specific notes
- Modifiers (oat milk, less sugar) must hit the bar screen. If they only print on the receipt, the barista will miss them.
- QR view-only is enough until you have a host. Phone ordering at four tables creates lost table numbers.
- A second cheap tablet for the bar is better than one overloaded cashier phone.
What not to buy
- A US cafe POS (Square, Toast) for a Bangladesh stall
- A “complete AI POS” whose demo cannot unplug the router
- Mushak 6.3 as a day-one requirement if you are not VAT-registered yet. When you register, ask whether the POS only adds 15% or also files. Riser POS can apply tax rates at setup. It does not publish Mushak 6.3. Buying guide

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Dimdul lists tea stalls on the restaurant product. Use a phone, a small item list, and offline mode. Skip table maps until you have tables.
Ask Dimdul. Mixed counters are messy. Food tickets belong on restaurant Riser POS. Packaged grocery with barcodes may need Retail. Two logins on one phone is worse than one honest product.
Staff speed matters more than the marketing language. If your cashier reads Bangla faster, the buttons should be Bangla. Confirm on the live demo.
Plan a week of both. Drop the notebook when the POS drawer matches three nights in a row. Training is in the ৳5,000 install. Use it at 7am, not only at noon.
